When I say my work is about place, landscape, and meaning, sometimes what I mean is putting the same person from my reference image back in the water holding art when it’s 20 degrees and blowing a gale. And they say yes because now that’s a memory we’ll always share in that place and the work is layered with that memory. It doesn’t hurt when @henryandmac shows up to take that vision beyond what I could have imagined. What I’m trying to say is art can make us feel like we belong, to a place and to each other. It was a total dream learning about monoprint @shepherdmaudsleighstudio - what an inspiring community of printmakers to share space with! I’m so thrilled with the color and emotion I was able to express in my pieces. These techniques will definitely be appearing in future work 💛

Another day in the studio, another layer on the print! Learning heaps as I get to know my press and get into a rhythm. Tunes + dog = always helpful. And of course there’s no going back with reduction prints!
